Okay. I feel like it is cruel to make me pick ten. This list was hovering at 75 when I finished it. SEVENTY FIVE FAVORITE READS. But as that makes for a really long list of favorite reads, I decided to do my top ten. Ish. I still couldn’t narrow it down that far. Too many books brought me to the brink this year and this is the best of them. The cream of the crop guys.

Get your gift cards from Christmas out, because you will need them.

This isn’t in any particular order. I don’t roll that way. I couldn’t pick a top read from this list is you paid me. They are all such different genres in their own that they are all my Number One Read.

The end is here and I don’t know about you, but I have been DYING to read this book. Simply I just can’t handle the fact that I had to wait this long. But also, I am so glad to have finally gotten to jump into it and get lost in Shane’s final story to us.

Heart On Fire by Amanda Bouchet

And it comes to an end. I felt like this story built up so much that the end of it was going to be a let down. I am so glad It wasn’t. This book did however leave a few little things open in the end so I am going to HOPE that this means we will see more of these guys in the future. Amanda Bouchet is a wizard with words in this final chapter of Cat’s story.

Breath of Fire by Amanda Bouchet

This book is everything I wanted it to be AND SO MUCH MORE. I need the next novel. I need it tomorrow. OR today. This book took everything to a whole new level and I couldn’t put it down. Cat and Griffin. SWOON. I need so much more of them. Their love reaches through the pages and you feel every word they say to each other.

Whore by Willow Aster

This novel was brilliant and gutting and full of healing all in the same breath. Lilith and Soti’s story was beautiful and wonderful. Read more

Rebel Faerie by Rachel Morgan

This is one of those books where it is physically hard to bring myself to write the book review because it means the series is over. I have enjoyed every single page of this series down to the very last one. Rachel Morgan crafted a world that brought us heroines that don’t need saving and a world that needs the brightness they can give.

Broken by Ellie Messe

GUYS, I FOUND ONE. One of those books that you can jump into and spend a whole day lost in? One of those books that you can start and just KNOW it is going to emotionally wreck you while it also throws you into a plot that you can’t turn away from. This is one of those.

Sometimes you read a book and it is just EPIC. Life changing. Sometimes you read a book and it consumes you, you get lost in the world that this novel crafts and you can’t turn away. Sometimes you read a book and for reasons you can put your finger on, you need for others to read the book as well. The book does something to you that you can’t quite put into words.

Sinful Empire by Meghan March

THIS ENDING. It is perfection. Like I could not have imagined this book any better than it ended. Heck though, I could always go back for more with these characters. This story was SO MUCH. I can’t even with some of the chaos that happened towards the end of it.

How I was Banned from Amazon and Got it Reversed!

Over a year ago I receive email all book bloggers dread. I was banned from Amazon. My reviews had been removed and there was nothing I could do. I ran right to chat and inquired why. A day later I received this email:

Well, that was that. I didn’t think I could fight, so I didn’t. I created a new account under my husband’s name and ensured it wasn’t linked to my other accounts, social media, or anything. I followed the rules to a T and here we are a year later and I was banned. Again.

Thankfully, at this point in my blogging journey I know a lot more bloggers and it happened to a bunch of them at the same time. When I found out it WAS possible to fight it, GAME ON. I wanted my original account back and I wasn’t taking no for an answer. I took the advice everyone was giving online, (Thanks Melissa, Serena, and Heather) and I started my battle.

ARC Review! Cowboy Up by Harper Sloan

THIS WAS THE PERFECT ENDING TO THIS SERIES. I can’t shout it at the top of my lungs any louder. This book wrapped everything up to perfection and still delivered the best story we could have hope for when it came down to Clayton.

The Beast Within by S.C Stephens

Another one that knocked my paranormal socks of. Stephens gave us the twins in the last books and in this book she started to give us their full story. The real of them behind just getting to know them. Not only was this the continuation of NIka and Hunter’s story, but this was just as much about her brother and his torrid love life.

Daughter of the Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller

This book was WILD. Sometimes I like to take a step away from the super adult romance I typically read and jump into a YA that still BRINGS IT, and this novel certainly did. It was a perfectly crafted pirate adventure that had me wishing for days on the open ocean.
