My TOP Reads of 2016! This was SO HARD to narrow down!

2016

Sometimes I have a year where there are a few standout novels that I know will make this list hands down. This year though, 2016, I swear almost ever single book I read was a jaw dropper. Over 150 books total and I had the worst trouble picking a mere few to list. This is my top 22. All my 6 star and a few of my top 5 star reads.

But checkout everything.

Browse around.

I may not be as big a blogger as others out there, but I have a passion for reading and these books moved me. Maybe a few will move you too.

Lets start with my TOP TOP read. It was hands down A Court of Mist and Fury.(Which is ON SALE!) This book was beautiful and wonderful and everything I wanted and more in the series. It brought me to tears and also gave me hope. It was about healing and seeing your own truths in the world. About doing whatever you need to save those who mattered to you, no matter the cost. This series is about love and survival.

Second to this I would have to go with Sarah’s other series and it’s newest release, Empire of Storms (On Sale currently!). Fantasy reads are my THING. I love the fact that I can not only get lost in them, but I fall in love with the characters page after page. If you haven’t read the rest of this series, do it. If you have, then you should know what you are in store for and be aware that the ending of this GUTS you. It completely shatters your heart and breaks you. I can’t wait to see what is in store for us next.

The rest of these are in order of when I read them. From Jan 2016- Dec 2016. It was the easiest way to list them and not show any other bias towards my favorites. Though there are some in there, how can there not be. If I tried to put them in an actual order than I would have driven myself a bit more off my rocker. That wouldn’t have been good for any of us.

If you don’t see your top read on the list, comment! I want to know what it was! I want ALL THE BOOKS! I want to share the book love. If it was? Tell me that too! I love gushing over shared book joy.

Congrats on reading 150 books in 2016, wow!

Ride Hard was one of my first favorite new book covers of 2016. It’s a stunning cover IMO. I’m glad you enjoyed the book. I’ve been collecting the Wingmen Inc. series so I have already added The Matchmaker’s Playbook by Rachel Van Dyken to my owned WTR books for 2017.

I loved the Sweet Trilogy series by Wendy Higgins, so I also bought Unknown when it came out and plan on reading it in 2017. But I so wanted it to be available on audiobook as well. I get to most books much faster if they’re available on audiobook since I can multitask (drive, walk, clean, etc.) while I read that way.

I just listened to a sample of Denial by Lisa Renee Jones. Right away, I recognized the audiobook narrator, Elizabeth Louise who narrated Helena Hunting’s Clipped Wings series – a top reread audiobook series of mine! I’ll add this Careless Whispers series by Lisa Renee Jones to my audiobook WTR list. I’m always intrigued by amnesia plot lines, so thanks for the recommendation!

You are going to LOVE Lisa’s series. Denial was SO GOOD! The third book comes out in January and I LOVED IT! All questions are answered. Perfect ending to the trilogy@
